Two Thorltons, One Marathon

My wife, Kate and I are now both signed up for the Illinois Marathon. Kate is going for the full 26.2 miles for the first time and I am in for the third time. Training schedules should be interesting with our three kids relying on our constant attention. We'll make it work though.

An American Wins the NYC Marathon!

• American Meb Keflezighi won the NYC marathon yesterday (Keflezghi, is of Eritrean birth and moved to the United States as a teenager in 1987)


• Meb's finish time was 2:09:15, that is 4:56 for each mile!


• American Ryan Hall came in fourth


• Four other Americans were in the top 10.


• That's 6 Americans in the top 10. Really impressive.


• The pack of elites from around the world in this years NYC marathon was better than ever
