Last 20 Miler before Marathon (tomorrow)

What are you doing, just taking a nap?

12 Miles is a good run to put in before work, but it required an early wake up. My two running partners and I were going to meet at our local track because there was 6 miles of speedwork mixed into the 12 total miles we needed. 3:40AM was the meet time. I made it about 5 minutes late and no one was there, so I took it upon myself to get a couple more minutes of sleep before the other two showed up.
I noticed a bright light behind me and thought, oh there's Eli and Janet behind me I better get up and out so we can get started. When I stepped out of the car I realized it wasn't Eli and Janet and the light was really bright. The officer said "Sir get back in your car". The officer approached the car and said "What are you doing, just taking a nap?" I told him I was getting ready for a run and waiting for a couple of friends. The officer informed me that I was in a no parking zone and it was basically the middle of the night. He took my license back to his cruiser and checked me out, came back, told me to park in the parking lot and left from there. Eli & Janet didn't show at the track, so I figured they took off from the YMCA and they would be down any minute. I started the workout, finished the workout (details below) and went home, Eli & Janet didn't show. Next time I'm napping in a no parking zone, I won't get out when the bright lights arrive, that's probably a good way to get tazed.
